Just being a Huge Recca Fan of both the anime and the manga figured would start a new topic and see if we can get a bigger response so we can feel more motivated to bring more of this great series. Also feel free to express your feelings about VIZ licensing recca do you think this could bring some needed money into the Recca fanchise to have the series go on to a second season. Most likey not but a good topic for discussion.

Ah we could only wish for a second season...
The first one being so great, i cant see why there wasnt a second one to finish off the series.
but they would have a hard time trying to explain some stuff that they took out of the manga and put in the series, also they showed some stuff that didnt happen until later,
I wont say what they are as to not spoil the show or manga for anybody.
But there really should have been a second season as the second half of the manga was better then the first, the first half consited almost entirly of the tournament, which wasnt bad, i just liked what happend after it better.

2nd season will be hard, if not impossible. because of how the ended the 1st season.... they were running out of funding and tried bringing main points from the 2nd arc in the last ep. so now, if they follow the manga's 2nd arc, it wouldn't make much sense and would be too predicable. their only choice is a rewrite of the 2nd arc.

And so the second arc would be messed up very badly.

btw, great job on FoR AF-F, I hope you continue.

According to the people at Viz that I spoke to at Otakon... they only licensed the manga. I've been to their site many times as well, checking if they have any info on the anime, and I've found none stating that the anime was picked up. Unless someone has more accurate information from Viz directly, I'm gonna assume that the anime isn't licensed.

Nah, I think the anime series was like.. mmm... about 45 eps long?

*turns around and grabs binder of anime cds*
after a few page turns i see that flame of recca is actually 42 episodes long...
i usually think its 46 if someone asks... and i dont know why...

Flame of Recca is out on dvd or do you just have the R2 stuff?

I have 4 cds that are the old school Real player files that are only about 50 megs each...
not bad quality considering that its realplayer and a few years old...
