Hey all, this is flipdon.

I just wanna thank all of you that watch and love the Flame of Recca that we're producing. I've watched fansubs for years, but I never imagined I'd become part of an actual group, let alone being in charge of my own project.

I can't apologize enough on how slow I am in releasing the episodes. Life as an enginerd at Cooper Union really takes up alotta time (and tends to slowly seep life from my body). As much as I'd like to work on Recca constantly, I gotta try not to fail out of school :shock:

And I'll tell you right now, I'm not the best translator out there. Heck, truthfully, I'm not really that good. I sure am slow tho... After 6 semesters of Japanese, I wasn't the best in my class (outta the 4 ppl my last year, i was probably the worst). But I'm trying, ya know. This is my way of studying Japanese outside of the classroom. Don't get too mad at me if you read a bad trans, ok? Instead, you can try and help me out. Please do, cause it'll make things alot easier (and FASTER!).

I'm a real perfectionist when it comes to my work, and I try to do everything as best as i can. And if it means spending 3 days trying to translate 1 line, I do it. My goal is to finish Recca by the end of summer, but we'll take it one episode at a time.

There's some other people that deserve some thanks as well. This isn't just a solo project. Gomu knows alot more about Recca than I do, and thank goodness he's a dedicated editor. King-kai never fails when i need an ep timed, and does a great job in record time. Thanks to Xepheus and SidudE for helping me out when I first started releasing Recca, and coordinating it's distro back then as well. I can't be around alot all the time so I'm thankful someone handles it. And thanks to everyone who runs distro now: Dinkai, Gomu, Insei_Hikaru (i'm not sure who else does it, i'm away alot lately, sorry if i missed a name).

And thanks to all the Recca fans out there who download our episodes. It's such a great series that deserves to be released in high-quality, and that's what we try to provide for you.

I have been trying to download flame of recca but cant seem to find it..is there any way i can download it besides going to irc? or has it been licensed?

hmm thats a hard question...
but if u actually took the time to go into irc there is a specific fserv with 10sends that serve up all our FoR eps to date... but i guess people would rather take the easy route (which there isnt)
If u need help there are FAQ guides to fservs in the FAQ section of our webpage... so take a look =)

much as i like to dl from irc, my download time is actually limited to 4 hours a day. i did tried to dl but the queue takes too long, which is impractical as i only have 4 hours.
(btw which fserve is that?)

u know.. you could always try kazaaing it *snickers* if you don't mind getting nasty little viruses and corrupt copies

i'm only a senior in high school now, but the first 3 years i took japanese, and it started off pretty easy.

then you get to the kanji

and sentence structure

and blah blah blah blah blah

i plan on taking japanese later on, like in college, or maybe moving to japan (hehehe ronin)

i haven't really used IRC before and I'm so desperate now to DL all the Eps. of FoR....can i find all subbed Eps. of FoR in IRC?.....i just wanna know first before i start using it.....thanks

I think the IRC servers died... due to attacks by someone... i think i read that somewhere, anyways if your still hurtin for FoR episodes come march i would be happy to share some of mine over Direct Connect *can't right now I have shaw cable breathing down my throat for excessive use of bandwidth (stupid berserk ogms...)

FWIW, I got most of the FoR episodes off eMule/eDonkey; however, there weren't many sources, so if you go this route, be prepared for it to take a long time. If you're still interested, then you'll first need to get an eMule/eDonkey client (I recommend eMule or eMule Plus) then go here and start clicking the [AF-F] links. (Just ignore those other files . They use the subs from the HK-DVDs - shudder. Need I say more?)

Some notes about eMule:

(1) You can only download 1 file at a time from each person on the network. This means that sometimes you will see a file as having no sources when, really, it has sources but you are already DLing other files from them (eg if only Bob, Jane and Frank have FoR 3, but you are already DLing FoR 1 from Bob and Jane, and FoR 2 from Frank, you will see FoR 3 as having no sources).

(2) In can take up to a few hours for eMule to find all the sources for a file.

(3) For files without many sources (such as, unfortunately, FoR), you should expect to spend 90%+ of your time waiting in qeues (as opposed to actually DLing anything).

4) Because of (2) and (3), I wouldn't reccomend using eMule unless you can leave your computer on and connected to the 'net pretty much all the time, and you have some patience.

Hey thanks alot for Subbing this anime its great I've watch 1-24 in 2 days couldn't put it down but episode 25 seems to have no seeds or the tracker is down but anyways thankyou and if anyone out there can fix it email or respond ty o yah I was also wondering if any wants to recomend a good anime for me to watch adventure ones are the best. I've seen Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Hellsing, Chobits, Narutoro, Naruto, Neo Genisis Evangelion, Record of Lodoss war, Hack//sign, FLCL, Full metal Panic, Rah Xephon, Berserk and thats bout it... I know it isn't alot but I'm looking for some suggestions... cause I got lots of time on my hands ty

last exile witch hunter robin, full metal panic fumoffu is not realy action but funny as hell. Scryed was neet, gassaraki is cool like wise blue generder, and you could always watch kenshin or inu yasha... but i would warn you, dont burn inu yasha i'm already up to like 40 cds i started watching that show when there was only 20 some odd episodes
