This anime was too violent and had little to no plot, I wonder why I even bought it in the first place.

Mezzo Forte is better (well, marginally) but that's also hardcore hentai...

Yasuomi Umetsu is easily one of my favorite designers tho, unfortunately he happens love hentai. NOT ecchi pantsu stuff either, hardcore uncensored stuff...
Although I heard he's making a horror OVA next that isn't hentai.

The cut version is exactly that: wicked bad cut. They take out a lot of the (yes extremely violent/sexually graphic) scenes that are integral to the story. The uncut version was very very good, although I felt like there should have been more to it than there was. It could have been a great anime if it hadn't been ended like that.

Mezzo Forte was also very very good, and again, I watched the Director's Cut (uncut and uncensored) version. The same kind of violence and sexually explicit scenes *which aren't really my thing*, but I still enjoyed it. And again...it could have been something better, but it was better than Kite's ending. Plus, there was a street scene where you saw someone that looked *exactly* like Kite walking in the background...giving the impression that things may not exactly be over in that one just yet.

I DO NOT reccommend finding and watching the uncut versions of these 2 anime to anyone faint of heart or under 18. >_<

kite and mezzoforte are created by the same mastermind. i love them both very much. but in all seriousness the directors cuts are an unnecessary addition. even though i do have them both on dvd and on vhs and love them very much ... the directors cuts are sexually explicit and truthfully children can walk up and buy this dvd and or vhs. i know this because i had my 9 yr old cousin buy it to prove my point to other store managers. if your under 18 or very immature dont bother watching any type of anime's directors cut. i can almost guarantee that it will end up with sex in it. as the creator of tenchi muyo strayed onto the path of creating a hentai named masquerade it only proves that sex in anime is becoming more popular among their peers.

yes that is true. i hate that as well. but the directors cut just isnt for people with weak stomaches ^^ (i mean nothing by that to anybody dont be offended) without everything to me its nothing at all. thats why i buy directors cuts or direct imports from japan.

Well, I have to say, the violence in Kite was creative, if anything. I mean, c'mon, bullets that explode within their target? Makes for ultimate gore..but dayum. O_O

lol it was mad creative thats why i loved it ^^ i love that gun. switch between regular bullets and bullets that explode in the touch of a button. thats awesome
also the school girl look....never gets boring to see a school girl kill people ....aka miko mido as lady blue and la blue girl. also nightmare campus (my favorite hentai up to date)

Kite was pretty good, though i don't get the ending, anyone wanna volunteer to explain it?

And Mezzoforte was pretty good, nice fighting scenes and stuff

La Blue girl is hilarious....I can't understand why anyone would ever be able to take it as it was...meant to be taken. >_<

Kite's ending? It just plain sucked. Kite's boyfriend was shot in the alley as he was going to see her, by the kid whose basketball he shredded...and it's left to look like Kite got killed too, but you're just never quite sure is she died or not, which is why that lookalike in Mezzo Forte is so intriguing. Plus, since the boyfriend was shot at the end too, you just don't know if he actually died, either, cuz they really don't go into it. That's what I meant by it could have been something so much greater.

Personally i thought kite was a pretty good movie...
yes it did have some hardcore stuff that didnt need to be there
but over all it was good
as for the ending, i never took the movie to seriously and thought it was pretty funny how the killed him over the basketball thing.

PS: the exploding bullets kicked ass
