oh wow, I watched this series in a 2-day marathon and the first thing that I kept thinking (besides, "wow, that's pretty") was "Wow, thats pretty sexy"

I'm pretty sure there are only 2 -- let me emphasize that-- TWO kisses in the series, but there was an INSANE amount of sexual imagery/unresolved sexual tension.... and I'm not just talking about guild-related charactres, (though they take the bulk of the sexiness if we take them away ~.~)

This series could have easily been a romantically charged/fueled.. but I suppose taking away focus from "couples" really spotlights every character to having their own beauty...

but still, WOW.. why can't i find any doujin on the net yet x.x

1. Luciora- "I'm a Dio's friend"

2. Delphine's apparent sexual obsessions
First impressions: i bet 2435345345436546 claudia she had her way with Rowe within 30 minutes of his captivity!! HONK IF YOU THINK DELPHINE'S TOO HORNY! ~.~ and the roses?! my god.. I'm speechless. (She reminds me of the fangirl version of Setsuka Sakurazuka (Seishiro's "mother" in X) and on that note... Wow..props to Dio for surviving O.O)


And actually, would the series be all that different if say the gender's of Dio and Delphine were switched around? Say The maestro were male and the younger sibling was female, or If The Maestro was male and dio was dio or if Dio was the maestro.. wow, you know, I dont think it'd matter all that much... delphine is delphine, and she's the most sexually charged villain i've ever come across in anime O.O''

3. Claus being a "lady killer"
First response: My God, he is pretty slick, isn't he?! O.O How is it that claus isn't getting laid every night?! Ok, well actually, that was a bit too much..

4. Claus and Lavi
First impressions: I'm sooo pleased by how their relationship was handled.. It was such unspoken love.. in terms of needing to express/explain it i mean. The part after the cave race when Claus and Lavi are talking on their vanship underneath the fireworks-- that goes down as the most beautiful love scene in my book.. The music really topped it off nicely.. (the greek(?) and lyre/harp Reminded me of Sappho's love songs..) But they are so *PURE* their relationship melts me everytime i think of it.. sooooo beautiful....!!!

5. Tatiana and Alis
First impressions: Another really well done "pair" The idea that Alis always sticks by and understands her friend/pilot is really heartwarming as well. Even if Tati can be a total bizatch, Alis understands where she's coming from and is patient enough/resiliant/compassionate enough to help her ;_;

6. Alex and Sophia:
First Impressions: especially Sophia.. after what she endured..
*dies* seriously just let me DIE.... i want to die, that was so painful!!!!

to explain this to my friend (who's a GundamWing-fangirl) i screamed into the phone: It's like Zechs and Noin amplified x34353456 except Zechs is a cold hearted bastard and Noin's more like Lady Une but not and Noin KILLS ZECHS OUT OF DUTY AND FOR THE REVOLUTION OF THE WORLD!! >.<**

inhibitions aside, people, tell me what you think about the sexy aspects of the series!! I've been bitten, and without a doubt, i'm rabid. you were bitten too and you know it! otherwise i shall bite you in the butt! IN THE BUTT!!!

OK, that was a bit...unstable, to say the least. But I know what you're getting at. There was a lot of sexual tension, although I wouldn't go as far as you did in your rants.

1. Okay, call me stupid, but I think Luciora and Dio were really just friends. Really GOOD friends but still only friends. Of course all you yaoi-lovers out there may think otherwise but this is my interpretation... (btw, I like yaoi too...a little)

2. Delphine was just INSANE!!!!! Not horny. She is a very sexually charged character, but I just can't imagine her and Alex...

3. Claus the lady killer?
'nuff said.

4. Claus and Lavi....soooo beautiful. At first I thought that they were siblings. So pure relationship...

5. and so on... I pretty much agree with you

What about Moran and Donya? We didn't see so much of them but they were a cute couple. The end was a bit icky perhaps. I would've preferred the more tragic one...

oh i KNOW!! As soon as I saw her come out after the smoke cleared and sit down, I thought "oh no, no no no no no no! HE"S DEAD!!" and during the epilogue I freaked because I though Donya hooked up with another person O.O;; took me a moment to process....



yesh yesh I know I was a bit overboard there. (read: rabid) but given all the unexplained ambiguities of the Guild, i doubt anyone can get a real conclusion of anyone's relationship, ie it's kinda beyond our comprehension O.o;; (as viewers.)

first let me start off by saying no... dio and luci were so not yaoi... luci dio was desperate for a friend and luci was like a puppy with unconditional love to spare... not like there was much more in the guild life style to spend your compassion and tenderness on so dio made for an outlet for his buried caring personage.

maestro--- god i love this villain. i'll admit that i thought her hot but that's not really what attracts me to this character... SHE'S F'N DEMENTED!!!!!!! she truly does exist in a world where she is the sun and the stars and she knows it and capitalizes on it... i mean how closer can you be to a god than maestro in her society?

claus and lavi- yeah i think they'll end up "together" but for now let's lets live in naive bliss that there is no such thing as puberty in prestale and that they really did live together alone with none of that.... er... um... awkwardness

dio- this guys the reason i revamped my shemale radar.... effeminate b4 our little growing up ceremony to be true but at the same time GOD... what a miserable way to go

in conclusion i never actually considered the series to be sexually charged [though in the right mind set i think it's easily done] as much as an exploration into relationships and their inherent complexities.

I dont know abt sexually charged... I think a lot of work, taken from various cultural contexts might bring across different intepretations.. Living in Japan and reading their manga's etc, seems to me that they just do it this way, and almost all of them, if taken from a rather puritant perspective, may seem overly ...sexual than what they really are.

Take a case in example, Kill Bill vol 1. which I found to be rather... tame and overly un-original, having been weaned from the chop suey movies from HK and then samurai stuff from Japan.. Mayhaps it is just that Hollywood never really got around to doing it that is why some people find it rather refreshing.

The Japanese utterred by the cast was better than most, though the accents from some of them are rather quite horrendous (there was a television show that showcased the top 10 bloopers in english movies having "japanese" cast trying to sound authentic. Funny as hell..esp the no 1. Dolph Lundgren.. nuff said.)... lucy liu sounded.. a bit off at times, and let's not talk abt uma's.. but i digress. The anime section was rather interesting.. Production IG did it.. . but only for its visual imagery. Nothing really new in the end, for those of us that have seen loads of anime/manga/period dramas/godzilla??
