Flame of Recca will now be encoded in XviD!!!

there's a few ways you can get xvid to play if you can't already:

1. ffdshow : This is an all-in-one decoder that can handle DivX 3 DivX 4 DivX 5 and XviD. If you're confused at what to DL, get the file with the latest date under 'ffdshow,' or 'ffdshow alpha' if you want the latest version.

2. Nic's Xvid Decoder: This is good if you just want a plain XviD decoder without having the encoder stuff put onto your cpmputer. It also comes with some post-processing options to make the video look better, while sacraficing CPU usage (can be alot if you turn 'em all on!)

3. uManiac\'s XviD Codec Build 11.6.2003 1420 alpha: This is the actual XviD build used to encode with.

If you have problems, I suggest using Nic's XviD decoder, since it can't go wrong. If you have ffdshow installed, you can go into the codec settings in the configuration box, and choose whether you want to use another XviD decoder like Nic's (choose XviD), or if you want to use ffdshow to decode (choose libavcodec).

i may have said something wrong, don't flame, just tell me...

Just a small bit of info that may or may not be useful.. with xvid encoding i have found that NERO doesnt seem too like it when converting AVI to VCD format.

I do this with all my anime, so i can playback over my DVD player, if this is happening too you also you could try the "FourCC Code changer" app to change it too use the official DivX codec(but you will of course need the divx codec).

This will also work fine if you dont have XVidcodec, and you have the Divx codec.

Latest DivX and FCC Code Changer are included in the K-Lite Codec Pack for d/l here

hope it helps
