Yeah, I laughed my ass off for a long time at this episode... Yes, it was pretty much pointless, but I think they made it so just because the previous two episodes were rather deep and somewhat depressive; so it was time to lighten things up a bit.

I do like how they manged to sneak in the fact that Ayu-nee was at Shimabara...so at least now we know she's posing as a hairdresser type person in that area to gather intellegence...and it looks like Suzu's big meanie sensei knows she's a kunoichi. >_< She was acting all weird in episode 14, like she wasn't expecting to come back from her mission...I really hope that that's not the case...I like her.

I wasn't overly amused by the episode. The only funny part for me was when Souji was yelling for Tetsu to 'run to the end of the world' with the haiku book and they were doing all that dramatic slow-mo and starry background stuff.


Next ep looks a little serious though and the ending to this one was a little eye opening with Suzo finding out his sensi wants him to kill off Tetsu (or maybe Saya?).

The sad thing is, it took me an HOUR to do that (granted, I was watching Ghostbusters too), and it STILL looks like crap. Oh well, it's a first attempt.

Hahaha, that's golden!

This was the GOOFIEST ep they've come up with yet, and after watching far too much Gilgamesh (read: depressing series with no humor whatsoever), I needed a good laugh. I'm getting a bit worried though that this series is starting to lose its point? I mean, there seems to be a lot of filler, and the people behind this show almost appear to be trying to slow down the stories for as long as they possibly can. There is still an underlying plot, that much is obvious, but it's starting to get buried beneath all that humor.

That said, this was still a hugely funny ep, starring of all people, the demon fukuchou! I *really* liked how Okita-san pops up at the zaniest times to play the devil's advocate too, and Saizou's role was just cool. I wonder if Tatsu knows how to use a sword...

Haiku at the end really put the characterization of Souji and Tetsu into perspective.

Jessica, the orders given to Suzu were to kill Tetsu. Saya is the child attendant of Akesato, who is a kunoichi of the Choushu, so I don't think she's under threat.

Episode 15 is one of the funniest anime episodes I have EVER seen. I was laughing my ass off through the entire thing, and when the enemy dred-lock guy just shows up, out of nowhere and starts running alongside Hijikata...ROTFLMAO! So pointless, but I rewatched the whole episode four times. Even thinking about it still makes me giggle.

So now I've seen through ep 20, and then watched the Gilgy that just DL'd, so I was starting to get all depressed, so I went back and watched this. And by far it had me laughing, except for the one part when Yoshida and Suzu are leaving (anyone who's seen the later eps knows why)

While watching that episode, I was laughing to the point of crying. XD
My favorite parts were the 1. Stabbing of the potato, 2. Any scene that involved Okita.

Arrrrgh this is such a familiar feeling! I dearly love this show, but the wait for the next episode is so painful! I'm in no way saying "hurry up with the next ep" or anything like that, i appreciate the work the translators do too much to even think of it. You know how it is, you can't wait to see all the eps but you don't want it to end at the same time, especially if you know anything of the sad history behind the shinsengumi and the members. Personally there are aspects i would prefer were left out otherwise i might have to cry

We're working on the next episode, I promise...we've just hit one too many snags to make anything timely lately.

And just as a taste, for those of you who haven't watched other versions of PMK: ...when you finally see 16-19 you'll wish they were funny. ;_;
