Xepheus
Well first off, welcome to those interested in Divergence Eve smile.gif
It's been a long time in the making, but hey we'll get it out eventually.
If you're wondering... Misaki Chronicles continues after the end of the series.
And I can assure you, thi one seems even better than its original... both in quality of storyline and art... although as a turn off for some of you the boobs are still as large XD

Well anyway, the reason behind the two versions is first of all we wanated to experiment at using a resolution of 1024x576, its never been done before and we find that it would be interesting to see how it turns out.
And let me assure you it looks awesome at such a high resolution. We really like it a lot...
But, we found out that as an experiment between our distro peep's computers, that 1024 does NOT run well in processors below 1GHZ, i personally have a 1.2 and it runs good on it.

So we suggested the idea of hey why not make two versions... to suit both crowds... we cant leave ppl w lower computers in the dark right?
So thus our 704x396 resolution was born.
Both encodes are awesome but of course doing two encodes will take more time for us to get organized.

In the end it comes down to this...
1ghz+ computers should grab 1024x576
1ghz- computers should grab 704x396

Also both encodes use the new XviD which is available here:
http://www.koepi.org

Oh a final note, we realized that some of you might of missed the first series... but no fret, it seems someone put it on supernova sometime last week and here is the torrent for it:
DEve Season 1 EP 1-13

Well hope this satisfies all you Misaki fans out there!

Just to add, if you didn't like the first season, just becaseu of the size of the breast, then chances are, that is going to offend you here too.

Although, if you saw past the size of the breat, and saw a show that had grat art and a great story, then you will not be too disapointed in Misaki Chronicles.

I know some people will not want to download the 1024 version, just because it is around 200 MB in size. But, the quality is worth it. It also makes me proud to be a part of the first bunch of AF-F crew to release a 1024 episode.
Molen
Actually, I was suprised how small in size it was considering the high resolution. I've got the same ep from another group and theirs is 217Mb at only 640x360. Was worried that it was to compressed but now that I've sampled it it seems fine. Good work! I'm now dumping the eps from the other group.
Breogan
Got the 1024 encode and the quality is absolutely awesome: the colors are very nice and the animation looks really sharp.
Out of curiosity, will you start releasing more series in resolutions higher than 640? smile.gif
CMOS
we do yumeria at 856x480 so we already are

I thought that that you guys were going to let Inuyasha-4ever sub this one? Why the change of heart? (Not that I am complaining, cause you guys make a superior sub anyway!)

Thanks! laugh.gif

Not a fan of D-Eve, but I download to check out the new 1024 res encoding. Absoloutely brilliant! So much better than the old res, so much sharper heaps better.

Brilliant idea people!

Oh that was one of the best news I got, someone *aham* serious is going to sub MC-Divergence Eve ... thumbs up happy.gif (p.s. loved 1024 idea)

I find it REALLY amazing, really, how people look over and get all their prejudice over Divergence Eve just because their boobs are huge (no not talking about anyone here, I'm talking about hundreds of plain reviews of D-E and MCD-E out there from people who didn't go pass episode 3 from Divergence Eve). So I was worried that no one *aham* serious was going to sub this amazing sequel.

D-Eve is all about plot, I am really sure the boobs are some sort of TEST for all of us, kinda of "let's make an amazing work, a deep plot and awesome animation (oh damn we forgot CGs are part of that ...run /o/) but just let's make their boobs huge and see if people will watch it". I would say it was a hell of a test, proved 75% of fans will drop this series out of hipocrital prejudice.

I for one got used and don't even notice, one might add, from mid series (on D-E) you will watch one or two episodes without ever noticing their abnormal breasts because you are focused on the plot

MCD-eve was anticipated, it was clearly a sequel (never though of it as a prequel, come on it's stamped it's a sequel on D-eve's last episode omake ... most last episodes nowadays have something after their ED, watch out ... and on MCD-eve talk at Watcher's nest ... Kotoko is now Kotoko-2, how can people think of this as a prequel if on Divergence eve we got Kotoko-1 and now we have Kotoko-2???) and I'm really looking foward to know what is going to happen and how the plots will merge.

I have high hopes for this one, specially when one looks for the lousy new animes from the season (yeah, people will drop Divergence Eve because of the boobs but will jump into Yumeria and the absolute plotless cliched mambo-jambo ¬¬).

LONG LIVE ANIMEFOREVER /o/

Dens slaps Caiobrz with an exploding cow

Uhh, AF-F is doing Yumeria as well (with Seichi.) =P

At least now I feel better!

Anyways, DEve 2 is great! Excellent work on it! However, since Ledgem is the raw provider I'll give him a new whip. You'd better invest in some thick leather clothing.

I know that tongue.gif

But AF-F is only subbing it, they are not to blaim for the plain series it is ... besides the girls rock XD
Xepheus
It's true, people are turned off too easily from the boobs, I know the first season... maybe first few eps they were clearly notable and uhm... bouncy... but after that it was serious and has a realy nice plot development and depth.

From the looks of the next couple eps... MC has an even better storyline and MC is a sequal, they just a lot of time travel games though... but VERY interesting trust me smile.gif

Glad there are some fans out there that like it, and please no stomping on our friends @ IY4F sad.gif

I was discussing with a friend and this question has arrisen.

There is no technology so forth to my knowledge that supports 1024x704. So I guess you are upsampling the video ...

Is that right? or there is a new technology with such resolution?
tuxedojericho
Well, I don't really know.

All I know is that Ledgem gets the RAW epsiode at the 1024 resolutiuon, and we use that.

Hmmm I understand that but as I said as far as I know there is no such technology which sends 1024 video, not HDTV, not DVD, so ... how?

That's all I wonder. It sure looks like he is upsampling.
Dens
I'm betting whoever it is that's making the raws that ledgem is getting is upsampling. While technically it's no better quality, as I see it there's more detailed smoothing/sharpening for those that would be playing it at full size (or larger).
CMOS
the top HD resolution is 1080 so 1024 is prety close to that

1080? hmmm I thought the maximum resolution on HD was lower than that :/

Are all broadcasts on 1080, or only some channels provide higher resolutions as such. If so, then I guess it's possible the raw provider is providing raws w/o upsampling.

Though I still don't believe XD~

Please don't get me wrong I'm only curious, I'm avid for new technologies biggrin.gif
CMOS
there is more than one HD resolution the main ones are 720p and 1080i, the top HD resolution is 1080p.

The important thing to remember is than when you talk about tv resolutions the number listed is the number of horizontal lines as opposed to computers where if only one number is listed it is the number of vertical lines. in computer terms we would call 1080p 1920x1080, and 720p is 1280x720.

in my earlier post i had forgot this important difference because its been several years since i fist looked up the details of what exactly HD resolutions are and i tend to forget things ^_~

the raw encoder is probably recording off a 720p feed (1280x720) and than down sampling to 1024.
Caiobrz
Hmmm I didn't know that catch about the conversion between formats. Now you mention it I remember there is something similar on conventional TV, the numbers are prolly not correct but TV have 320 lines but once captured you get 600x400 pixels or something like that.

Good to know ^^ so most raws we see are downsampled, intersting biggrin.gif

When using a decent TV Tuner card, as well as a decent video adapter (Graphics card), one can view tv at a larger resolution, which means it can be encoded at such a size. The quality will then come from the video adapter (graphics card) and its capablities.
G8KeaPoR
hmm xepheous thats odd the 1024 works on all 5 of my machines ill list em by proccessor

AMD 64
AMD Athlon XP 2500
AMD K63 650mhz
and my pentium2 MMX 333mhz
and my server

the only reason i tried it is cause im a PC geek so i wanted to see if i could make it work and it worked 100% it did however take a lil longer on the intel chip to load up but then again its a crappy intel what can you say also With the exclusion of the bottom 3 the top 2 pc run at agp8X with 256 cards in em
K6 runs a radeon 7800
and the mmx runs a radeon 7200 both can handle resolutions above 1024. anyways it looked very nice indeed and i recommend that everyone checks it out and hey even if you got and old pc its well worth the attempt of seeing if itll work!

oh caibr the HD goes to 1080i the reason you get lower res on it is cause they can take a non hd recorded program and upconvert it to an hd signal the end result is the screen being stretched to fit on a widescreen.
probably 99percent of the programs on HD are the result of being up converted and are not true HD. DVD are not in HD as of yet but there have been DVD HD players up for sale now just waiting on movie makers to follow suit and also there is a format called 480i its the widescreen format for non HD broadcast maybee in the non widescreen hd tv days you couldnt get a 1080 but then whod want a non widescreen hdtv all of the technology has been available and from time to time is broadcasted down so where you got your info i have no clue but as far as the technology its there set in stone and has been for quite a few years now since mitsubishi and others began releasing the HD widescreen TV's now because we live or some of us in the USA we wont see a true HD broadcast that goes on 24/7 untill what is it 06 or 07 now so thats why you havent seen it yet as far as RAW formats go after working with quite a bit of digitalvideo not to mention anime is sequenced on a computer and broadcasted from a PC now to the cable station yes it can come in 1024 it all depends on what res they chose when making the anime. even for taking the pictures a lot of them use digital cameras now mainly due to its ability to hide light reflection as apposed to older 35mm and the old 8mm [non digital] photovideo cameras also they use scaners and a lot of them are all drawn on the PC these days. so im pretty sure that the RAW probably does come in 1024
Zarbonis
It is most likely an HDTV capture, it is very possible to capture broadcasts in HD provided you have the right equipment

Which episode?
I have put them all on CDs already :]
So if you tell me which episode I could send you...
Superchop
Do all of the 1024 releases use the new xvid codec?

Cause i've been getting the 1024 releases (due to lack of seeds with the lower res ones) and all of them pretty much did what i expected them to do (not run cause of my old p2 400mhz beast) except Ep 2...i checked all of the other eps and they seem to be using the xvid codec...but ep 2 ran fine..and when i checked that one it said it was using the divx codec...
tuxedojericho
I think everything that the encoders endcode is on the new xvid codec.
