You may think that an established group like AF-F has plenty of translators, but that's not really true. Currently, AF-F has only one translator -- me. I'm not planning on quitting or anything, but I don't want to work on more than one series at a time and I've been getting rather burnt out lately. Especially since I've been helping finish other series as our other translators disappeared. It's also really hard on me whenever I have a busy week and can't get an episode finished.
So we can't start any new series until we get some new translators. I have a full time job, so translating an episode and a half a week is about my limit. If you are a translator or know anyone who is a translator, come to #aff-recruits on irc.rizon.net. There's not really that many requirements other than you be able to translate and have a decent download rate so we can send you raw episodes. Knowing irc would be good, but that's easily taught. If you don't know irc, just PM me.
More detailed requirements are on the recruiting page.

We did have one volunteer for help on Champloo who did a wonderful test translation of episode 10. But I was too slow in getting back to him, so he's disappeared from our recruiting channel. I'm going to be out for a couple of weeks this month and may not have time to translate, so if anyone sees Tacco in channel please send him this way and tell him to PM me or get back into the recruiting channel. I don't get to hang out in the main channel much, so I don't really have any way to contact him.
