You are linking to your hard drive wink.gif

Whilst this would be possible were you to leave it turned on permanently and run a web server program like appache, the normal method is to rent some web space or to use an isp that gives you some for 'free' - I understand that this isnt so common for American isp's?

Once you aquire some webspace, you need from the host:
  • their uploads server address
  • username and password
  • occasionally wether you need to set some options like root folder (i.e. '/') and whether its set to passive or active mode.
You need an 'ftp' program. This is the program that connects to the web server and transfers your files to webspace. Like how an email program connects to email servers etc.

ourworld.cs.com is a great site to host on and link images from.. If you have an AIM account, you can use that to log in.

Hehe, well I love my ISP. I have two accounts and it gives me 10 MBs for each account for free (of course I'm from Europe wink.gif). I probably upload tens of gigs every month using my webspace and those are only avatar pics. smile.gif

So yeah, I do understand american ISP providers. Does Yahoo allow external linking anyway? But at those kind of accounts you like only get a gig or so of bandwidth every month.
