i got this anime couple years ago on some fan sub site(11 videos, 42 episodes for $20 or $30 i think). i just watched once and never touched the tape again. anyone think this was good animation? if you ask me Recca didn't even come close to Inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin.

I agree that the animation in Inu Yasha is better, but the fights in Recca are a lot better.

Are there really only 42 eps?

At the end of ep 42 Mikigami said it wasnt over, Fuko added they still didnt figure out Kageru's time curse, Recca didnt finish his fight with Kurei, and some one might come after Yanagi again.... so was that just the first season or something

Yes sadly it is only 42 eps...
But thats where the manga comes in to save the day
In the series they do set it up for a second season but that never happend...as far as i know they company that was making it lost funding so they had to stop...
I think the second half of the manga would have made great episodes...
But there were some pretty dissapointing differences that wernt in the series that should have been...one Ganko is not presant at the tournament she stays at Fuko's house the entire time. The biggest one being that in the final round of the tournament you dont get the see the Joker VS. Kaoru fight... of the 6th form of KougaAnki(i think thats the weapons name) also MANGA SPOILERS....you also dont get to see Kurei fight with the soul of the guy he absorbed(i cant remember his name)after the guy with the demon gun killed him, they also show Kurei's true flame shape(Phoenix) WAY before your supposed to see it...

I knew the manga went on (never actually read any though), but I was hoping the anime didnt end after volume 16. If they had no intention to continue the anime they should not have had all the cliff hanging parts in there because that just makes it worse not to get anymore IMO. I hate it when they do that, it reminds me of Beserk how the anime stopped and the manga kept going.

Maybe Im not suppose to ask this but can you tell me where i can get translated FoR manga? (either buy or download)

Yeah they disabled the downloads..... darn I guess ill have to wait and hope they make a second season for the anime.
